I opened my eyes to the world in Lafayette, Louisiana on March 2, 1953. My interest in pottery originated early in my life while watching my mother uses in clay work as therapy to entertain my grandmother a long illness. Over the years experiences in life, were my best art teachers. My travel helped me develops better sensory senses. In detail, I can remember that in a work trip I fell in love with the clay artistic expression of Italian craftsmen. In the Roman markets I learned to see the colors and shapes from a different perspective. It was also where I realize that the mud or clay is a source of inspiration; it is a job… is a starting point. And is my art and feeling for this land that bind together to create my work…so you can carry a small part of me.
